Rocks or minerals that were supposed to be white looked reddish. I agree with positive reviews, but the print colors in my copy were too reddish. Black slate didn't look black.
It is very well organized, wonderful photos of Rocks and minerals. He loves it. I bought this for a 14 year old rock hound. Also gives instructions for testing.
There are five claims, all without evidence, without even a single reference that Earth is millions of years old. This book contains a little bit of propaganda in support of Darwinism/macro-evolution and the Big Bomb. This is typical propaganda and speaks loudly being that there is not even one reference to back up these absurd narcissistic claims.
This book is an asset to my studies as a Geology student, it is one of many good books needed in a rock jocks library.
An older book that I've used since college for resource and personal collection use. It's a shame the book is no longer made.
